This is our small project. Can you imagine what it would look like if a-no name-street-chicken sticky rice stall had their own logo and packaging? This question pops up on our mind whenever we visit my favorite chicken sticky rice stall. Then this project was ‘born’.
The chicken sticky rice stall is located in an old small street in Hanoi, so it doesn’t even decent seats, the customers have to seat on the sidewalk of the street, the only space belongs to this stall is a small corner where the owner makes dishes. We was inspired by the ordinary and simple beauty of this small stall, so we chose the Courier New serif typeface, which brings out antique value.
/ Logo concept
Another inspiration for the logo design comes from the ‘flavour’ of the chicken sticky rice bowl. In our opinion, the soy sauce makes it stand out from another shop’s. The image of sticky rice covered with soy sauce has become main material for our logo design.
The packaging uses simple daily things such as sponge box, paper glass and carton. A sticky rice box and a glass of water will be taken away to wherever you want in the most easy and convenient way. Additionally, it was designed following the image of street hawkers.
How to bring out the identity of this ‘brand’ in the fastest and most economic way? We have come up with the idea of engraving two seals and marking them on the sponge boxes and paper glasses that they usually use.
